Volunteer Opportunities

Volunteers like Ray Stumm, enjoy helping in a variety of roles at Buckskin Mountain State Park.
Volunteer opportunities are available at Buckskin Mountain. Enjoy fantastic winter weather and easy access to the Colorado River. Volunteers live onsite and are allowed the use of a campsite with electric, water, and sewer in exchange for their commitment. Volunteers must provide their own housing. Review our list of positions and contact the Volunteer Coordinator with any questions or concerns.

Visitor Center Volunteer
The Visitor Center Volunteer works in our entrance station to answer questions, take visitor camping fees, make reservations, and sells merchandise in our gift shop.
Field & Maintenance Volunteer
The Field & Mainenance Volunteer's responsibilities include: cleaning BBQ grills, raking sites, picking up litter, and painting parking lot spaces. Other maintenance duties as needed and assigned.
Landscaping Volunteer
The Landscaping Volunteer helps maintain the Cactus Garden as well as performing trail maintenance.
Programming Volunteer
This Volunteer helps to answer questions and give out information. They also help manage public programs that take place in Buckskin Center, including social activites like our Ice Cream Socials.
