The Arizona Game & Fish Department’s Watchable Wildlife Program strives to manage wildlife while providing for the recreational use of the resource. By assuring positive wildlife viewing experiences, the department hopes to increase public awareness of wildlife and support for native species through wildlife viewing-related recreational and educational opportunities. The program is also developing a statewide network of natural areas and trail systems known to offer excellent wildlife viewing opportunities. You can also learn more about wildlife in Arizona from the Arizona Watchable Wildlife Association's website

Many state parks also feature wildlife viewing opportunities. Click on a park below to learn more. Parks marked with a “†” also have a downloadable Bird List. The Junior Ranger program is another great way to introduce children to watchable wildlife.
