OHVAG Membership: Seven members appointed by the Arizona State Parks Board to a maximum of two consecutive three-year terms. Five of the seven members must be affiliated with an OHV organization or group; one seat must represent casual OHV recreationists or the general public, and one seat must represent a sportsperson’s group (defined as a member of an organization representing hunting, fishing, or similar sportsperson outdoor activities). Members must be Arizona residents, and no more than two OHVAG members may reside in the same county.

The OHVAG serves in an advisory capacity to the Parks Board. The mission of the Arizona Off-Highway Vehicle Program is to develop and enhance statewide off-highway vehicle opportunities, and to develop educational programs that promote resource protection, social responsibility, and interagency cooperation.

2008 OHVAG Meeting Schedule

OHVAG Committee Member Application
Applications are being accepted to be on the OHVAG committee.
Nominees must be Arizona residents in order to be eligible, and no more than two OHVAG members may reside in the same county. Five of the seven members must be affiliated with an OHV organization or group; one seat must represent casual OHV recreationists or the general public, and one seat must represent a sportsperson’s group (defined as a member of an organization representing hunting, fishing, or similar sportsperson outdoor activities). The Off-Highway Vehicle Advisory Group will nominate new members in November, 2008. At the end of 2008, there will be two vacancies on the OHVAG, one for an individual from an OHV organization and one for a Sportsperson’s group representative. New member terms begin January, 2009 and continue until December, 2011. Applications are due Friday, September 16, 2008 by 5 p.m. Besides the completed application, you are also required to submit a letter of interest. Download application for complete details.

The OHVAG committee also serves on the The Recreational Trails Advisory Group which meets yearly in conjunction with ASCOT to discuss trails issues per Federal mandate.
