Meers Point offers a quiet, scenic setting for water recreationers. Before the renovation, Meers Point structures were in a deteriorated condition and they were not ADA accessible. The picnic shade structures and restroom were not being used due to the physical condition they were in. As a result of the renovation, Meers Point now has a new double restroom facility, three ramadas with grills, a new three sleeve boat dock, a new fishing dock and landscaping. All facilities are wheelchair accessible. Completed in June 2001, the renovation project now provides an attractive recreation ground for family picnics, fishing, wildlife observation, and canoeing. |
