2) Cinder Hills OHV Area
The Cinder Hills comprise an extensive area of deep volcanic cinders in a Ponderosa Pine forest. Approximately 13,500 acres are available for all types of OHV's. The area is east of Highway 89 and south of Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.

5) Sheridan Mtn./Smith Mesa OHV Trail System
This trail bike and ATV trail system is located west of Chino Valley near Camp Wood. OHV Grant funds been used to enhance 42 miles of trail; additional mileage is available in the vicinity. Primitive roads are also available for full sized vehicles.

6) Alto Pit OHV Recreation Area
A 400 acre site that lies 4 miles west of Prescott on the Iron Springs Road, this area provides limited opportunities for a variety of vehicle types. OHV funds developments include a 13 acre open area, and a few miles of trails for ATVs and trail bikes, and a beginner's course for machines under 90cc. Restrooms, picnic tables, grills and shade ramadas are also available for day use. Group camping is available with a special use permit.

7) Hayfield Draw/Bryant Park OHV Area
Eight miles west of Camp Verde, south of Highway 260, Hayfield Draw has an 80-acre open area for ATVs and trail bikes only with access to more than 100 miles of designated routes.

8) Lake Pleasant/Hieroglyphic Mtns. Area
Upper Sonoran Desert with numerous OHV routes that traverse the country between Lake Pleasant (east), Wickenburg (west), and the Prescott National Forest (north). Many trails run on both BLM and State Trust Land so a State Trust Land Recreation Permit is required. Vehicle travel allowed only on the existing routes.

9) Rolls OHV Area
This 27,000 acre area is one hour from the Phoenix area. The Rolls is east of the Beeline Highway, north of Lake Saguaro, and south of the Four Peaks Road. Vehicle travel is allowed only on the existing routes.

10) Long Draw OHV Route
The Chevelon/Heber Ranger District, located on the Mogollon Rim north east of Payson, offers many OHV opportunities. The Long Draw OHV Route is a 30 mile loop trail system starting at either the Long Draw North Trailhead (Chevelon Crossing) or the Long Draw South Trailhead (Chevelon Lake). The trailhead includes staging areas, toilets and campsite facilities that have been made possible through State OHV Fund grants. There are many other shared use roads open for OHV use and several snowmobile trails in this area.
