(Phoenix, Arizona - Updated February 4, 2007) - The campgrounds at Lake Havasu State Park is currently closed (through mid-March 2008) and the Windsor 4 area will re-open in mid-March. However, the Park will remain open during the construction.

The tentative construction schedule will begin on November 27 in the campground area. The campground will be closed effective Sunday, November 25, 2007 at 2 p.m. There will also be chip sealing, restriping and installation of new cement drainage aprons at the Windsor 4 parking lot area.

In January work will begin at the dirt overflow parking lot. This area will be changed into asphalted parking spaces designed to accommodate oversize boat trailer parking. Several small changes will also be made around the park ranger station entrance area to allow boat trailers to more easily navigate the parking lot corners in the park.

For more information call Lake Havasu State Park at (928) 855-2784. Park entrance fees are $10 per vehicle. Lake Havasu State Park is located at 699 London Bridge Road, off Highway 95 and Industrial Boulevard.
