Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park Presents
a Mock Trial by Tombstone High School Students

(Phoenix, Arizona - December 4, 2007) - Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park and Tombstone High School present "High School Civics," a class mock trial on Monday, December 10th and Tuesday, December 11th from 8 to 9 a.m.

Mrs. Pamela Greene's civics class will present a mock trial in the historic courtroom of Tombstone Courthouse. The students will discuss and reenact the action "State of Arizona v. Martha Monroe." The case is about murder and the application of battered women's syndrome defense. Students will present the case and listen to testimony and then decide whether or not the defendant acted within the law.

Admission to Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park is $4 for adults, children aged 13 and younger are free when accompanied by an adult. The park is open 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. Tombstone Courthouse State Historic Park is located on the corner of Toughnut and 3rd Streets in Tombstone, Arizona, two blocks off Highway 80.
