In recent years Hollywood has marked a resurgence of the Western with movies such as "Brokeback Mountain," "Broken Trail," "Seraphim Falls" and with the release of several impressive Westerns set in both the Old West and in contemporary America including "3:10 to Yuma" and the Oscar nominated "There Will be Blood" and "No Country for Old Men." This interactive presentation will examine the way these films explore the myths, ideals and values of the Old West.
