Northwestern Arizona hosts a number of annual events throughout the year, ranging from regattas to off-road racing. Thousands of people visit Lake Havasu every year for events such as the annual London Bridge Days, Festival of Lights, Winterfest and the Relics and Rods Classic Car Show. Lake Havasu is known for all water sports including boating, water skiing, jet skiing, fishing, and scuba diving.

Lake Havasu City, AZ
Lake Havasu City is located 10 miles North of the park. The London Bridge brings many visitors to Lake Havasu City each year. The existing London Bridge in Lake Havasu City was opened in London, England in 1831. Robert McCulloch of Lake Havasu City purchased it in 1968 for 1.2 million. The London Bridge is built of granite, has five arches, is 930 feet long, is 49 feet wide, and is made up of 22 million pounds of stone. As the bridge was dismantled each of the 10,276 pieces was marked with a number so placement in the reconstruction could be the same once the bridge arrived in Lake Havasu City.
Lake Havasu has a lot to offer: Water sports rentals, lake tours, ATV rentals, fishing guide service, restaurants, lodging, fuel, banks, groceries, golf courses, parks, dog park, shopping center, library, theaters, laundry, hiking and aquatic center. Bill Williams River National Wildlife Refuge
Bill Williams is located 8 miles south of the campground. Wildlife watching, boating, fishing, hiking and hunting are popular activities on the refuge. Take the wonderful walkway down a jetty where the plant life is all labeled. For the bird watchers, you might see turkey vultures, mourning doves, coots, herons and egrets. Parker, AZ

Parker Dam
Parker Dam is located 9.5 miles south of the park. The Dam spans the Colorado River between Arizona and California. The Dam was built between 1937 and 1938 by the Bureau of Reclamation, a must see attraction. You can see the Dam by boating four miles south of the campground.
Oatman, AZ
Take AZ 95 north to 40 west to Topoc (exit 1). Follow Route 66 to Oatman, Ariz. (It's about 1-1/2 hour drive from the campground and has gift shops, gold mine, wild burros and ghostriders gunfighters.) Contact Oatman Chamber of Commerce, P.O. Box 423, Oatman, Ariz. 86433. Phone: (928) 768-6222
Grand Canyon Caverns
US Route 66 between Kingman and Seligman – take the Andy Devine Blvd (Rte. 66) exit off Route 40 in Kingman and follow that northeast about 65 miles. Just past Peach Springs, 12 miles from the center, you will see a turn to the Grand Canyon Caverns on your right. There are so many breathtaking views, so bring your camera. They offer off-trail exploratory cavern tours.
Grand Canyon
This would be an all day trip, around 179 miles. Points of interest: Guano Point, Eagle Point, The Hualapai Ranch, Indian Village and the Skywalk. Restaurants, gift shops, rafting, hiking, exploring, horseback rides and sightseeing tours. For more information call (702) 878-9378.
Valentine, AZ
Take AZ 95 north to 40 east to Kingman. Take historic route 66 to Valentine. This non-profit organization is creating habitats for abused and neglected animals and currently home to 120 animals, from monkeys, tigers, reptiles, livestock and birds. Take AZ 95 to the 40 and head east.
