Boating

Responsible Boating

Fool  Hollow Lake Recreation Area invites all watercraft users to enjoy the lake, but we ask that you do so responsibly. That means ensuring that your watercraft meets all of the state's regulations for motorized and non-motorized watercrafts.

Please note that only watercraft with a maximum of 10 H.P. gasoline engines are allowed on the lake.

Boat Ramp

Fool Hollow Lake Recreation Area has single lane boat launch ramps available on the east and west sides of the lake.

  • After entering the park, visitors can reach the west boat launch ramp by turning west at the first intersection and following the road to the boat parking area, just next to the launch ramp.
  • Visitors can reach the east boat launch ramp by turning east at the first intersection and following the road all the way around to the other side of the lake until arriving at the next intersection. Turn west and follow the signs until arriving at the east boat launch ramp.

Non-Motorized Watercraft

Non-motorized watercrafts are welcome and may launch at either boat ramp. All Arizona boating laws apply.

Visitors can also rent canoes, kayaks, and paddleboards from J&T's Wild-Life Outdoors, our concessionaire located near the east boat launch ramp. To learn more, visit  jtwildlifeoutdoors.com or call (928) 892-9170. Watercraft rental is seasonal and is currently only available in summer.
