Slide Rock State Park’s Fall Festival is Coming Soon!

Wagon with scarecrow at Slide Rock state parkCelebrate fall at Slide Rock State Park during the 10th annual Fall Festival on October 21, 2017. Enjoy a variety of fun fall activities for the whole family while celebrating the 30th anniversary of the park!

The event will be held from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Exhibitors on site will include essential oil distilling, blacksmithing, beekeeping, Montezuma Castle and Tuzigoot National Monuments, the southwest monarch butterfly study, Arizona Flywheelers’ antique engines and tractors, Arizona Game and Fish Department, and Oak Creek Watershed Council. Kids will also get to meet Smokey the Bear from the U.S. Forest Service, Rocky Ringtail from Arizona State Parks and Trails, and animal friends from Alpacas of the Southwest.

Slide Rock State Park’s history began as a working apple orchard. Today its agricultural legacy continues. The orchard is still a working commercial apple ranch that features an original vintage 30-foot-long, apple sorting machine reconstructed by volunteers, still in the historic Pendley apple shed. 

WHAT: Fall Festival – The cost is $10 per vehicle. 

WHERE: Slide Rock State Park - Located 7 miles north of Sedona in beautiful Oak Creek Canyon.
